Taggart is family-owned and has been operating in Canterbury region since 1953 and is continually growing and diversifying into other areas. We are expanding our team and are looking for an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to join our dynamic Civils Team.
New Zealand Certificate Level 4 - Infrastructure Works - Civil Earthworks and
New Zealand Certificate Level 4 - Infrastructure Works - Site Supervision and
New Zealand Certificate Level 4 - Business - First Line Management
Clean New Zealand Drivers Licence – Class 1, 2, 4 and W.T.R.
First Aid Certificate
The following training would be an advantage:
SiteSafe - Risk Management
SiteSafe - Accident Investigation and Prevention
SiteSafe - Site-Specific Safety Planning
In addition, we are looking for someone that has:
a minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role within the Civil Industry.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Competent in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
Excellent planning and organisational skills;
Enquiring mind and ability to think creatively and intuitively;
Ability to read, understand and interpret construction plans and methodologies.
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff and clients.
Ability to assess information, evaluate solutions and devise an appropriate course of action.
Drug-free (Pre-employment, reasonable cause, post-incident and random drug testing).
A positive, can-do attitude.
Is motivated and driven to succeed and progress.
You will spend the majority of your time out on site but you will have workspace available at our Belfast Yard.
